Foresight Names Jacob Malthouse Director of Business Development

Vancouver, CANADA – June 4, 2020 — Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre announced today the appointment of Jacob Malthouse as the Director of Business Development.

Jacob’s experience in building collaborative, strategic partnerships and developing global business opportunities will add tremendous value to our cleantech SMEs and organization broadly” said Jeanette Jackson, Foresight CEO. “His deep networks in global sustainability sectors and his passionate drive to make the world a better place are in true alignment with Foresight’s mission.”

Jacob Malthouse:

Jacob is an experienced entrepreneur and intrapreneur. He has conceived and launched global industry collaboration initiatives for the United Nations, ICANN and as CEO of the company he founded, the Dot-Eco Domain Registry (www.go.eco). 

He is best known for his work directing the Investment Team at the United Nations Environment Programme’s Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) in Geneva, Switzerland, where he was responsible for architecting the negotiations that created the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (www.unpri.org). Jacob has a BA in Geography and Economics from the University of Victoria, and is an IISD Young Canadian Leader for a Sustainable Future alumni (2000).
