Vancouver, CANADA – Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre announced today that it is partnering with Spring Activator Inc to deliver an investment readiness training program on October 22nd and 24th, 2019 in Burnaby, BC.
With a focus on CleanTech, AgTech and Innovation Leaders, the program is designed to accelerate visibility and availability to growth capital through actionable tools and hands-on education and mentoring.
“Local and international investors are setting their sights on Vancouver and Western Canada, particularly in clean technologies, agtech and core technology innovators. This program is designed to make sure Canadian startups are ready to receive this capital and create massive economic value for our economies” said Jeanette Jackson, CEO of Foresight. “Collaborative education and partnerships are a key piece of the puzzle, and we are excited to work with Spring Activator who are leaders in investor readiness training.”
Sessions will be led by Spring’s capital raising specialists, and will cover all the fundamentals of capital raising, including process, pitching and paperwork.
“Most entrepreneurs don’t know anything about raising investment before they start their business, and yet it is a vital part of their growth,” said Keith Ippel, CEO of Spring Activator. “Taking on investment is a completely different process from the day-to-day running of a business, but it must be done if they want to have the capital to scale. This program shows them how to do that.”
The two-day training program runs Oct 22nd and Oct 24th, 2019 at Foresight Head office in Burnaby, BC, and select companies from the program will be invited to pitch their business to angel investors at the VANTEC showcase on November 6, 2019.
