Vancouver, CANADA – January 15, 2020 —Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre announced today its full slate of activities and project announcements for the Globe 2020 Forum on Feb 11, 2020 in Vancouver, BC.
During Globe 2020, Foresight is hosting a series of new-to-BC initiatives aimed to energize the cleantech industry in Canada.
“There is a rapidly growing global market for clean technologies, agrifood and industrial innovation from Canada. We’re excited to provide an opportunity to not only raise the profile of BC cleantech SMEs, but also to provide real investment and partnership opportunities through these events,” said Jeanette Jackson, CEO of Foresight. “The BC Cluster project announcement is also a gamechanger - setting the stage for an initiative that will create massive economic value for our Province and country for years to come.”
Foresight activities/events for the Globe 2020 Forum include:
- BC Cleantech Cluster Initiative Announcement -Foresight has been conducting a research and stakeholder engagement project as the first steps toward developing a cleantech-focused cluster to accelerate the cleantech industry in British Columbia, and will present key findings and recommendations during Globe 2020.
- Green Gamechangers Innovation Challenge Series - Foresight is showcasing seven industry challenges through a ‘reverse pitch’ competition (where industry pitches their challenges to SME’s), and an engaging workshop style presentation on Foresight Leading Industry Innovation program.
- BC Cleantech Awards -Foresight will celebrate organizations and thought leaders from throughout the B.C. cleantech ecosystem at the 1st annual BC Cleantech Awards Event. Each of the 12 awards is designed to recognize a unique stakeholder group or individual that brings drive, passion, and energy to B.C.’s fastest-growing sector – cleantech.
The Foresight events and activities run on Feb 11, 2020 at the Globe 2020 Forum at the Vancouver Convention Centre West in Vancouver, BC.
