Vancouver, CANADA – May 13, 2021 — Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre today announced a new partnership with the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA) to work together to advance hydrogen and fuel cell technology development and adoption in Canada.
This partnership is timely, as Canada’s federal government released its Hydrogen Strategy in December 2020, which recognized that hydrogen is a critical opportunity for Canada to meet net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and that Canada has the potential to be a global leader in hydrogen technologies. The Strategy set an ambitious framework to advance hydrogen commercialization, and this partnership helps to bring together key players to facilitate the growth of the sector.
Foresight and CHFCA have agreed to work together in several areas including to:
- Provide ventures with training, resources, and support to launch and scale their technologies and services through Foresight’s accelerator programs
- Accelerate adoption through capacity building projects and demonstrations
- Collaborate on Industry Challenges that match industry needs with cleantech solutions
- Share market research
- Partner on marketing initiatives
